Conference on Christians in Middle East

Our church participated in a conference organized by the Maronite League under the patronage of Patriarch Bechara Rai at the Notre Dame University (NDU) in Zouk Mesbeh, North of Beirut in July 24-25, 2015. The two-day conference was a voice to call for supporting Christians. Many church leaders, bishops, politicians and journalists participated in the conference.

The General Secretary of the World Communion Reformed Churches, the Rev. Dr. Chris Ferguson, was among the speakers. In his speech during the opening session, Rev. Ferguson referred to the communion and responsibility of WCRC toward the region. He emphasized the need for the unity of our churches and voices in order to make them heard, particularly at these times of the rise of religious fundamentalism.
